Spring Art Show & Auction
The Spring Art Show & Auction is the Fine Arts Department's culminating event, showcasing four pieces of artwork from each individual student in all primary and middle school classes. This showcase represents multitudes of inspirations and various expressions through different mediums. Students and parents enjoy performances from musical guests and dine on delicious appetizers as they walk through the halls and observe the numerous artistic displays.
In addition to the individual artwork, this night hosts a special silent art auction in which stunning pieces of artwork are offered up for bid. The pieces are collaborative works from each classroom--from tapestries to glass mosaics to refurbished furniture statement pieces. Auction proceeds directly benefit several of Next Generation School's arts-related outreach programs, including our Carle Pediatrics partnership.
Families can also take home a piece of the auction without a bid by purchasing sets of stationery cards that feature each collaborative piece. The art card sale and art auction play a vital role in supporting the school's broader commitment to empowering our students through community service learning opportunities as well as Next Generation School's prevalent emphasis on the importance of the fine arts in every student's education.
